Eric Teicholz is president and founder of Graphic Systems, Inc., a Cambridge-MA firm specializing in facility management and real estate automation consulting, system integration, market research, education and publishing. He is a Fellow of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA’s highest honor), a member of the Facility Maintenance and Operations Committee (FMOC) at the National Institute of Building Sciences, a recent member of the Board on Infrastructure and the Constructed Environment, Federal Facilities Council, at the National Academy of Sciences and was recently retained by the Hon. Gordon England, the Secretary of the Navy, to serve on a blue ribbon FM panel defining the future strategy for all Naval Shore Facilities – including the use of conditions assessment technology. In recognition of his efforts, Mr. Teicholz was awarded the Department of the Navy’s Superior Public Service Medal.
Mr. Teicholz has helped organizations define and implement technology for over 25 years. He lectures internationally and is the author of hundreds of articles on computer graphics, facility management, Computer-Aided Design and Architecture, Computer-Aided Facilities Management and Geographic Information System technology. Teicholz has extensive experience in the area of conditions assessment and has written numerous articles and lectured extensively on this subject. He has consulted to several organizations on all aspects of life cycle analysis. Teicholz has also been involved in implementing standards and performance metrics for conditions assessment at the Architect of the Capitol and has been involved in several projects managing the implementation of such systems and their integration with CAFM and CMMS systems.
Teicholz was educated as an Architect at Harvard University. Before Graphic Systems, he spent 12 years at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design as an Associate Professor of Architecture and Associate Director of Harvard's largest R+D facility, the Laboratory for Computer Graphics and Spatial Analysis.
